at work asked:
I have made a folder with a journal for her to keep, a sample schedule, emergency numbers and first aid info, as well as dosage information for any medication he might need and a list of a few games and songs he enjoys. Anything I’m forgetting? How did you get your nanny started?
My child is thirteen months.
Thanks for the answer! Actually, she asked for a journal to keep any notes she might have to write me in, and keep me posted on outings, etc. I might not have thought of that myself… But I appreciated the request, most definitely!

A journal for what?
I was a nanny at one time too two boys and I would be questioning the parents if they handed me a journal. Try daily communication and treat her like you would anyone else. Be respectful and participate.

I never had a nanny but it sounds like you are off to a good start. Give her as much information as possible to get her started.

I usually stay home with the nanny for the first few days
and did a list just a you have
if you are not able to stay home maybe you can leave late or come home early for the first few days
