Eme asked:
We can’t afford daycare would it be less expensive to have an at home nanny. I need to go back to work but depending on family is not an option. Daycare frightens me. My daughter is 16months and my 2nd daughter is 5 months. How do I get back to work?

Is there any way that you can work at home? If not look at craigslist.com they have a lot of list of local nannys.

You can post an add for fre on Craigslist.com on what you are looking for and the price you are willing to pay. And then, for about $100, you can do a background check to make sure they are ok to watch your children. Not sure how to do a check, but I’m sure if you search online in your area you can find a reputable company. My guess is that you will get a lot of bites because of the economy.
Good Luck!!

The going rate is about $8 – $10 an hour. You might be able to find someone who will help you for cheaper.
What you can do, if you have an extra room, you should be able to find someone to live with you for $4 to $5 an hour.
Craigslist.org, you can post a free ad on there.

try looking on
-this is a website where you search different Nanny’s/babysitters. They all have profiles and picture you can search through and really find the right person for your children. plus have references and you can request they submit a background check which the website will have them do automatically. It also says how much they charge per hour and days they’re available. you can send them emails through the site as well.
-i think another site is called sittercity.com.
good luck

a day time nanny AND a night time nanny?? when do you get to be with the kids? no one works 24/7 i would think you could get by with one nanny or at home baby sitter through the day instead of paying two.
