Then ask the new family if it's okay with them. I think I'd just be honest with the initial family and tell them that you could really use the money and this would be one day, occasionally. I'm sure they'll be accomodating. Just don't take a sick child to their home and make sure the other kid is well behaved. Tell the new family that you'd need to help them out, but that you'll have to sometimes take their child to your other job.

It would not be a great idea to ask the second family if you don't have a work relationship yet. If the first family occasionally needs you for extra hours, then they are going to have to work with you and your schedule. You also need to make sure it is alright with the second family.

The kids had a blast playing together. However, it was just a one day thing. If it's going to be a constant thing I would suggest choosing just one family to work for.
