I am starting a nanny service and I need some ideas for some great q’s to ask parents concerning anything. I am looking for anything from how do you discipline your child? to what is he/she allergic to?

Bedtimes? Naptimes? Potty-trained? Bedtime routine(this is a big one for kids’ coomfort)? Any foods they don’t want them to have? If I think of any more, I will add them…

Daily routine, discipline, what/how much to feed and when, religion, answering questions about *** (yes even with toddlers this comes up, usually where do babies come from), allergies, emergency contact info (get parents, a trusted relative or neighbor, and pediatrician), is it ok to give tylenol (and what dose) or other over-the-counter meds if the child is sick, preferred method of communication (oral doesn’t work if there isn’t time at pickup/dropoff, use a notebook instead), is parent OK with you taking child to park/library/walk around the block, places the parent would like you to take their child (assuming you don’t know their neighborhood), for older children policies regarding having friends over/going over to friends houses, what the parent wants you to do during down time (naps or when kids are otherwise occupied)–do they want you to do some housework or just hang out

How does the child ACT when he is not feeling well?
Are there any custody issues going on with the child?
Where does the child usually hide?
