If a babysitter babysits in your home, has access to your food, while babysitting a 6 month old baby how much should she get paid per hour? Should it matter what the age of the baby or child is at all when paying? Like what if the child was 4 or 11 or something like that? Does any of this make any difference?
Sorry let me add more info here, this is for a friend of mine who stuck babysitting for barely anything. She gets paid about 25 dollars for 2 weeks of babysitting that is about 20-30 hours a week. It pisses me off and I want her to know she should be paid more.
She is 22 years old and she is best friend’s with the person so she let’s it happen and she’ll do it at the last minute for her and everything. This woman does not even ask her if she can babysit. She actually sets up a schedule and expects her to do it.

If a babysitter makes only 3K in one year (and that was the sitters only source of income) Then files separately from their spouse, does the baby sitter still have to pay income taxes on the 3K?

For most people, home alarms and any form of monitoring systems that are used in home surveillance are not really necessary. This is because there is a misconception that the time it takes for a security company to respond to any danger that they might face is long. This should not be a worry for home owners because the companies use a centralized monitoring system that is designed to make sure that no calls are missed. People use home surveillance for three main reasons. First, to deter anybody who may want to enter the home to commit a crime. Secondly, home surveillance can be very useful in catching the perpetrators of any crime in your home. This can work well for those who have been robbed and want to be prepared if it happens again. The last reason is to monitor what goes inside and outside the house.

Home surveillance can help you reduce how much you worry about the security of your home and family members. Home surveillance will let you know whenever someone breaks into the house. This is made possible by the loud alarms, surveillance cameras, silent alarms and sensors on your doors and windows. These tools help you to know as soon as possible so that you can take the appropriate kind of action.

When you want to have your house monitored at all times, home surveillance is what you need. The kind of security system that is set up in this case monitors every part of your house and the information is sent to a remote location which is usually a security company. This means that if the house alarm goes off, they will be able to see exactly what is happening.

Home surveillance does not only come in handy when there is an intruder in your home, it also helps protect you incase of a fire or a gas leak in the house. The systems will alert you of these occurrences and you will have adequate time to escape before you are exposed to any risk.

This kind of surveillance can also be used when you want to watch somebody in your house. The person can be a nanny who is looking after your children or someone you suspect of doing something but you have no evidence to prove it.

The things that you actually want to monitor will also determine the home surveillance that you will get. You may only want the monitoring of the people who come in and out of the house, the cars that pass near your house or the faces and the type of clothing worn by the people near your home. This will determine the kind of home surveillance that you get.

Home surveillance is important especially now that the economy is not doing well and many people may be tempted to rob homes to get some easy money. This is the best way to ensure that your property and those you love are put at minimal risk.

A lot of security camera systems have the capability to record video as well as audio. The law is not well defined as to when it is legal to record audio. There are different circumstances when audio might be recorded. Here are answers to some of the pressing concerns and questions:

Scenarios:

# 1 A business owner who has a security system that has audio.

# 2 A homeowner who has a camera that can record audio and some security systems can record audio from the babies room.

# 3 Selling Security cameras with audio.

Questions:

# 1 Are these issues covered by state law or Federal law about using these cameras?

# 2 Does a business have to legally record their security systems audio?

# 3 What does the home owner have to do to comply with the law to record audio in their home.

Answer:

There are States that have different regulations about this issue, but most States are in agreement that videotaping a nanny without her knowledge is legal as long as there is no audio involved. You have to be very careful when it comes to audio. If the nanny is told about the monitor and agrees to it, it should be OK to do the videotape to protect the child as long as the parent feels a sense of security about the whole thing. This will protect the parent and prevent any child abuse.

The answer clearly is defined by excluding audio from the camera. You have to know how to use it responsibly. A business owner should inform his/her employees that he/she has a hidden camera. In most businesses, it is quite obvious that the camera is displayed. The homeowner has the most freedom to use the camera in the home as long as it does not harm anyone. If a homeowner is going on vacation or away from home, then a camera is a way for them to feel more secure.

A security camera is a personal choice that most homeowners don’t think about until a robbery, crime or abuse takes place. It is better to be safe and not sorry. A camera is not necessarily a guarantee, but it is a commodity that will enhance safety measures.

There are many wireless security cameras without audio and these days a lot of them are disguised as common household goods. It is more advantageous to a homeowner to be equipped with a security camera than not having one. These days crime is so rampant and a camera brings that safety to the home and the homeowner.

Let’s face it – people are curious and open to temptation.  They are generally honest but when there is money or valuables available and no one’s looking…

Well, a Diversion Safe looks just like an everyday item that we would see in any household but these devices have a hollowed out center for your valuables – money, watch, keys, jewelry, notes to your kids, bill receipts (how many times have these been misplaced), and anything else you can think of.

Put these valuables in a variety of Diversion Safes and spread them throughout your house, garage or office.  Just make sure they blend in with room.  Even a dopey burglar might get suspicious if he saw a can of JB Oil next to a salt shaker or a Kibbles ‘n Bits Can Safe next to your toothbrush.

Burglars like to quickly get in and out with their loot.  So, the object is to leave our valuables in plain sight but still be hidden.  This is where Diversion Safes fit the bill.

Diversion Safes are just regular items that the burglar would see in any house, including his own.  So why would he suspect that a Barbasol Shaving Cream Can would hold some jewelry?  Or, in the garage, what about hiding your emergency house money in a Liquid Wrench Can Safe and put it with all the other cans on the garage shelf?

Not only burglars (who are bad guys by trade) are interested in your valuables – even neighbors and friends may get tempted when you leave your money out in plain sight.

Remember the TV commercial about the lady who opens the medicine cabinet door and all the shelves collapsed?  Why did she even open the cabinet?  She’s probably an honest lady – she was just curious, right?

Well what if that medicine cabinet hadn’t collapsed and she saw something of value in it – money, jewelry to be cleaned or who knows what.  Would she have taken the valuables?  Would you?  Hopefully not.

Here are 2 examples of what can happen when we leave valuables available in our house:

Scenario 1:  You had left a $20 bill on the kitchen table this morning for your teenage son.  This afternoon he had some friends over for pizza and to watch the ballgame.  That night the money was gone.  Obviously your son used it to pay for the pizza, right?  But he says they all chipped in and paid.  What happened to the $20 bill?

Scenario 2:  same as above but this time you put the $20 in a Flower Pot Diversion Safe and left it on the kitchen table.  This time your son asks for money to pay the pizza guy and at the end of the day your money is still in the Flower Pot Safe.

Here are just a few different types of people who can rob you of your possessions because generally they’re left alone in your house for a time.  We will consider them all honest people but still, some may still be tempted.  But remember, the longer these people are in your house, the more temptation there might be:

-           Your Kids’ Friends

-           Nanny-

-           Trade People (plumbers, carpenters)

-           TV repair or meter-reading people

-           Nurses, medical people

-           Delivery men

-           Even dogs, believe it or not – for some dogs, anything left on the table is theirs as far as

            they are concerned!

-           And don’t forget people coming to your house asking to use your phone or some

other favor – yes there are still people doing this

-           Your Family and Friends

Now I know you may not want to admit that relatives and friends might be tempted.  You may say “My friends and family – Never!”

Maybe you’re right but think about the last few parties you held for family and friends – was there ever anything missing after the party was over?  Maybe you didn’t notice it missing for a while but what did become of your watch that was on the living room table during the party…

Don’t help the burglar and don’t become a crime statistic.  Hide your money and valuables in Diversion Safes and place them throughout your house or office to blend in so that a burglar would never suspect what they hold.

Don’t become a Crime Statistic.

People have always been committing crimes… and they always will. Technology has made it easier to commit such crimes as identity theft, solicitation of minors, etc., but it has also made any past crimes, dishonest conduct or any other potentially threatening history easier to discover.

Let’s address some of the most recent cases plaguing our communities, making chilling headlines: priests and teachers molesting children, nannies abusing babies, online and neighborhood sexual predators posing threats to women and children – the list goes on.

Thankfully, there is a simple solution that has been taking our society by storm: online background checks. Think about it: if we diligently investigate everyone we traditionally tend to trust due to their position and influence on our private lives, with the potential to pose threat to our kids, possessions, and peace of mind, many, if not all of these heartbreaking incidents can be avoided.

Most aspects of our daily lives can be protected and simplified with this minimal precaution.

* Going on a date? Run a background check! Pull up the person’s criminal records, along with all other public records, and avoid rapists and murderers, as well as married liars, bankrupt addicts… you get the picture.

* Hiring a new employee? Run a background check! Check for violent or drug-related crimes and/or embezzlements, a history of addiction, or any other issues that may potentially cause lawsuits or threaten your business and safety.

* Renting an apartment? Make sure your landlord is not headed for foreclosure, and avoid becoming homeless overnight. Conversely, landlords should investigate potential tenants for past credit issues, nonpayment, eviction and/or property destruction.

* Buying or selling a car, a home? Check out former owners and their public records for any liens or other deficiencies, evidence of construction or accidents.

* And of course, please take extra precaution with everyone who may come into direct contact with your children.

Trust must be earned, it’s not a prerogative, and it begins with a clean background check.
