naming a child is something personal so u name the child when u see fit. altho i dont advise an entire day of just calling the child baby.lol
u may have a name picked and then look at the child and be like u know wat i want something else.

I am so very sorry for your losses. I am expecting my first daughter, due 2 days after your son, and I decided on her name Helena Joy, just a few days ago. I think that is nice what you are doing, and who knows, maybe I will change my mind about the name once my little baby girl is here! I had my daughter named before she was born- Angela Cathleen. My son was originally going to be Edward James, but at the last minute he was named Anthony Vincent.

My husband and I couldn’t agree on a name for our son that we both really liked. We decided on Malcom. After he was born c-section he had to go straight to the neonatal ICU so I didn’t get to see him right away. The first time I saw him he was getting his heel pricked for a blood sample and was screaming. But I think he was actually talking to me. Right then I knew his name was Evan. Hubby and I hadn’t ever even mentioned that name and it’s not in our family, just out of nowhere. I think he told me his name.

I have one daughter, Arizona Lana-Cate.
My name is Anya Cate. Anya is a Russian name, (my mother was half russian) It means Favour/Grace I was not named until I was about 2 weeks old, (hah! I know!) My father chose the name out of a list of other Russian names because of it’s meaning. Since the day i was born he said i was so very graceful even in my litle cries and my movements. (He still thinks i am! yay!) My grandfather also died a few months before I was born, when my mother was pregnant. He told my mother that, The biggest FAVOUR you can do your mother and I, is to raise this baby, better than we raised you. My mother had a blessed childhood, but my grandfather always wanted better! That’s just the man he apparently was.
Cate is derivative of my grandmothers name, Katerina. The C is from my grandfather’s name, Cael.

My daughter’s name, is Arizona Lana-Cate.
Her father and I were on a road trip, and we’re in Arizona when we found out I was pregnant. I never thought of it as a name, until I was in labour. I was talking to a nurse to distratct myself, and telling her, how we found out in Arizona. The name then sort of hit me, and i then saw her and yelled at my fiance, Oh, What about Arizona? .
Her first middle name, Lana is from Lana Turners Her grandmother’s name; Alana. Lana Turners is one of my icons, I think she is just stunning -
Then Cate, Is after me and my relatives.

Really, I am. You must be an incredible person to get through all that.

I don’t have any kids yet (I’m 13, lol), but my parents named me Anne Lorraine for my paternal (Anne) and maternal (Lorraine) great-grandmothers. They both had incredible roles in my parents’ lives, so I’m really honored to be named after them. As far as I know they had my names way in advance, as well as my three other sisters, but you’ll most likely be much happier with your son’s name if you look at him and just know what you want to name him.

No, we didn’t do that. With our last child, we had a few names picked out. As we looked at him after he was born, we went through all the names, and one just felt right so that is what we named him. The middle name was a last minute choice-my maiden name-which my husband thought of.

My mom named all of us girls after we were born. While she was preggers with me she read a few good books and thats where i got my name from.

shur do that if u want i know ppl who have done that or when the baby is born a few days later they will change the name because they think that name will fit its personality better
