Thank You Verses – Free Samples

How do you go about putting your thank you verses in a thank you card or note? Here are some tips:

Put them at the front of the card. This is a great way to introduce your thank you message and show some class. It also sets the right tone for your entire message.

Putting a thank you verse at the end of a card, letter or note, can also be a great idea. This is because it leaves the recipient on a very good and uplifting note.

Another great place for thank you verses, if you’re having your cards printed, is to have them centered on one page or flap of the card. Having the verse on one side of the thank you card and your thank you note wording on the other side makes your note look professional and classy.

But that’s not the only way to do it. It never hurts to have the first part of a verse or famous thank you quote on the very front of a card, and then continue on the inside of the card. Again, this says ‘professional and classy.’

Of course, you can always find some cards that already have good verses on how to say thank you printed on them. If you only need to send one or two, look no further than your local Hallmark, Wal-Mart, or Target store.

If it’s multiple people you need to thank, then any stationary or office supply store should have a whole box of what you need! They should have at least one or two sets of cards with thank you verses and/or thoughtful words for a thank you note already included on them.

Of course, email gives you another great way to show thank you verses to the people who’ve helped you out. Every major email service offers you the option of a signature line. Usually you can change it by clicking ‘Options’ and then clicking the appropriate link.

Then, simply copy and paste your favorite thank you quotes or verses and send emails out to everybody who’s helped you out. You can change your signature line to something else when you’re done.

Finally, it’s good to keep in mind that it’s always best to include some thank you words and/or thank you verses of your own. Nothing says ‘thank you’ better than showing your friends and family you appreciate them enough to take a little time to write them personally!

How to Become a Lawyer

Becoming a lawyer can seem like a great and rewarding career choice. The road there, however, can be a daunting one. There are choices to make, steps to take and many classes along the way. The journey is, in the least, a seven year investment of time, energy, effort and of course, money. While intelligence is a great quality to have, perseverance is perhaps the greatest.

Choosing an Undergraduate School

The first choice on the road to “becoming a lawyer” is selecting an undergraduate school and major. This is an important choice because while there is no particular major required for law school, there are courses that will enhance graduate studies and make law school easier. As law school will probably be the hardest and most demanding three years of the journey, any advanced ground work will be to your advantage.

Preparing for the LSAT

As one nears the end of his or her undergraduate school career, it is time to register and prepare to take the law school admissions test or LSAT. Again, as there is no required major for the undergraduate, there are no preset study questions that can prepare the lawyer-to-be for the admissions exam. The exam is one that helps determine whether or not one might be successful in law school. The exam does not cover topics such as history, political science or mathematics. It is mainly reading comprehension and logic that is examined within the test sections. Preparing for the test does not fall within standard studying parameters. There are many ways to prepare, however. Getting an LSAT study guide as soon as one knows their desire to pursue a career in law is a good place to start.

Applying to Law School

Once the LSAT has been taken, one should be ready to start the actual admissions process which, of course, begins with the application. Most law school candidates will already have an idea of where they would like to attend law school and will begin applying there. Others may not have a clue where to go. While it is good to have direction and intent, it is not completely necessary. You may direct your LSAT scores to particular law schools though most schools get lists of those participating in the admissions test. You will soon be in receipt of admission applications from law schools all over the world giving you many options to consider should you have no prior ideas. The road to being a lawyer is getting shorter.

Once accepted into law school, law students will go through classes, case studies, internships or clerkships, mock trials and may do pro-bono type work at legal clinics. All this is a foundation to becoming a lawyer. The final step is passing the bar exam for whichever state one intends to practice law in. One may think they will be practicing in the state in which law school was attended but that is not always the case. Students who work diligently will have an intended law firm lined up prior to graduation. While the road may seem long, the payoff is a rewarding career in law.

The holidays are a perfect time to gather with friends and family and enjoy each others company. It may seem like the perfect time to host a party, but there are things to consider before sending out the invitations:

Many people are bogged down with work-related parties and children’s activities during the month of December, so if you have your heart set on a Christmas Bash, be sure to send out invitations early so that guests can mark it on their calendars while their weekend nights are free.

Consider a more informal afternoon affair, especially if children are invited. It’s often easier for guests to attend, and the children are less tired and cranky.

If you’re planning a formal affair without children, be sure to make guests aware of that fact and give them plenty of time to find a babysitter. And be understanding if they decline your invitation. Remember, babysitter’s can be hard to schedule, not to mention expensive during the rush of the holiday season.

Once you’ve figured out the style and tone of your party, you’ll want to consider the types of foods you’ll serve and the decorations you’ll use. Holiday parties can be much easier to plan for since most people opt to use their normal house decorations for the backdrop of the party, just adding a few of those special touches they would normally save for company.

Depending on the style of your party you’ll have to decide whether you want a formal sit down dinner featuring the good china and tableware, or a buffet style meal that allows guests to wander from room to room and chat with various people. While both have their pros and cons, there are some things to consider when choosing your meal style and food selections:

While a sit-down dinner does appear more elegant and formal, it can also be a wonderful option for people with children since it allows everyone to sit at one time at a table and eat without the risk of spills and other food related accidents.

Oftentimes a buffet allows for a larger variety of food items to be featured.

A buffet can be set out for longer periods of time, allowing guests to go back to the food table again and again.

A sit-down dinner allows guests to sit, relax and enjoy each other company and conversation more than juggling plates and drinks as you wander the room with a buffet

For those who want the party to begin and end at a specific time, a sit down dinner is best, since the serving of individual courses, and dessert, followed by polite conversation and coffee sets the signal that the party is winding down.

When it comes to the invitations you’ll want them to reflect the style and tone of your party. Casual family friendly affairs often sport a whimsical or even comical invitation, while the invitations for a formal event should feature dramatic colors and elegant elements such as ribbon or sparkling designs.

Semi-formal or casual events should feature invitations that reflect the holidays with more casual colors and design elements.

Throwing a holiday party can be a lot of fun, and the holidays are a great time t get together with friends and family. Just take care to make the entire process as much fun as the party itself in order to truly enjoy your holidays.

During the holiday season, parents and grandparents are confronted with choosing Christmas Toys for their kids or grand kids. Now is the time to possibly buy a few presents that will also add to your childrens’ health by increasing their physical activity. There are dozens of toys available that will increase your kids physical activity. Below we discuss 6 different toys for both girls and boys, and for different children’s age groups, that will get your kids up off the couch or from behind the computer.

For Babies:

Let’s start our babies off with a bit of physical activity. Choosing a Christmas Toy for baby may seem difficult, yet one of the best gifts we can give them is a baby “gym”. These toys usually come with a mat and highly attractive items that attach to the mat like colorful toy animals or lights. Some even have music.

The Rainforest Melodies and Lights Deluxe Gym by Fisher Price is a great baby “gym.” It offers lights and musical melodies in a rainforest setting. It will help increase your baby’s actions and their coordination as they reach for the various toys. It can keep baby entertained, yet calm too.

For Toddlers – Ages 9 months to 3 Years Old

As our children become more mobile toddling around, we may wish to engage their interest in using the Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk ‘n Ride This is an excellent gift for toddlers from 9 months to 3 years old. What is great about this particular product is, it is a “two in one”. You can start it out as a sturdy walker that can help your baby learn to stand and walk. Then you can convert it into a ride-on scooter. This product could have your baby to toddler zipping around in no time.

Sometimes as busy parents, we use the television as a “baby sitter.” I know I did when my daughter was little. I would sit her in front of the TV with her blankie and turn on a show made for little ones. She would be captivated for an hour or so. As we know now, this is not an especially good way to entertain our young ones.

Instead, it might be a good idea to use the Smart Cycle Extreme. This is an excellent Christmas toy to help increase physical activity in our children three years to six years old. You set it up with the TV and load its programs. Your kids can ride the “bike” and it will seem as if they are riding through all types of terrain. The handle bars will even give the impression of riding over bumpy paths.

For Children Ages 6 and Up

As our kids get a little older, it becomes even more of a challenge to get them off the couch or from behind the computer. At ages 6 or 7 and up, they seem to be able to use the computer better than we can! One toy that can be played indoors or outside that will surely hold their interest is the Wild Planet Hyper Dash.

This particular toy can be played with alone, in pairs or in teams. So it covers all the bases if you have just a single child or several. Hyper Dash offers an electronic “tagger” and five different colored and numbered targets. The “tagger” plays music and will call out which target the player must “strike.” It keeps track of the time that it takes to go through the sequences and the course. You can set the targets as far away from each other as you like. There are even four different game modes. This product challenges your kids speed, skill, memory and increases coordination and teamwork.

For Children Ages 8 and Up

If you wish to increase your kids outdoor physical activities, coordination and a whole lot of fun, then you may wish to purchase the Razor E100 Electric Scooter for Christmas. This particular model requires a physical start, meaning it has be pushed and going at least 3 mph before you can push the button to start the little engine. The scooter can get up to 10 mph which is fast enough for fun, yet not too fast. It has a rechargeable battery that will last up to 40 minutes.

Fun for the Whole Family

Most people are aware that the Wii Game System is an excellent choice in increase physical activity for the whole family. It has numerous games that will get the whole family moving. If you do not have this game system, you may wish to consider buying it soon. The price has gone down and during the holidays, there will probably be many discounts found online.

If you already have the Wii Game System, than you may be interested in the Wii Motion Plus. It is a Wii game controller accessory that adds to the controller’s sensitivity. It makes the controller respond faster to the slightest twist of the wrist, or any body motion. With more sensitivity, it brings a whole new level to playing Wii games by enhancing accuracy and play control.

The bad news is that crime statistics, death, injuries, home intrusions, and loss of property continue to rise. It is hard to believe, but according to FBI statistics a burglary occurs every 15 seconds in the United States.

The good news is that there has never been a time when such a variety of quality security equipment has been available, and at such affordable prices. Let’s fight back!

When talking about home security equipment, one size does not fit all. Security equipment must be tailored to meet the particular needs of each house or company. One may need entry detection, while another needs camera surveillance, and another may need motion-detection floodlights. Let us look at some of the many choices available.

Home Security Systems – Many articles have been written on this subject and the basics are probably known by most readers. Systems are either wired or wireless, just as the names imply. For a renter, a wireless system is the logical choice, as the installation does little if any damage to the premises. And, the system can be taken when the renter moves. Wired is the system of choice in an owned residence, but it has its pros and cons. Because wires are run from every protected point to the alarm control panel, holes must be drilled and wires fastened.

However, when done by a professional company, the work is done with care and is mostly concealed. Labor is the main contributor to the high cost of a wired system. At today’s labor rates, several technicians working in your house for a week can run up quite a bill. A money saving tip here is do-it-yourself. If you have the basic knowledge to fix a lamp cord, you can read the wiring diagrams and install a wired system at a budget cost. Your car, motorcycle, camper, or boat on trailer, can also be connected to the security system. Many types of motion detectors are available, some even “pet friendly”. Regardless of wired or wireless, ultimately either system can sound a local alarm, connect to a monitoring station, call your mobile phone, or be custom tailored to meet the exact needs of the user.

Surveillance Cameras – Like home security systems, cameras come in two types, wired or wireless. When the door bell rings, how comforting to see who is at the front door. Now, even low cost systems can view multiple points, and display all cameras on just one split screen monitor. Camera products change rapidly, offering more and more features at lower and lower prices. One of the best recent offerings is an outdoor motion-activated floodlight and color camera combination. It does not get any better than that! Disturbing statistics show that we cannot always trust persons in our house, like the baby-sitter or a serviceman. A wireless hidden camera provides an ideal solution for this case. It is, in fact, one of the most popular home security items. Other uses for an indoor camera include keeping watch on your prized possessions, and of course keeping watch over your baby.

Home Automation – Here is an area of products you will want to look at while security shopping. The evolution of security products has blended into a new category of home automation products. We have traveled well beyond the wireless garage door opener. Your home computer can now be used to control appliances, lighting, cameras, store camera video files, check on your home, turn on and off your security lighting and even your sprinkler system!
