Why are people outraged about someone choosing to have a nanny or housekeeper?

Someone earlier asked a question about employing house staff- people that care for the children, clean their home, and, do lawn care. I am amazed at how many people are outraged by this issue. I understand it if it was because they were employing the undocumented, but, calling her lazy because she elects to have someone else do these things? Is it because she is employing the undocumented, or, do you generally look down upon people that hire help?

Thinking of Hiring a Nanny? Do a Nanny Background Check First, Please!

Before hiring, no, before even considering hiring a nanny you must do a nanny background check! More than likely you’ve interviewed many people who submitted their application to fill the position you advertised for. And it is such a difficult decision to have someone in you home that you do not even know and they are going to take care of those that are most precious to you; your children. So again, you are considering hiring a nanny. Don’t walk but run to an online source to check out every last detail of this person’s life. Be loyal to your children. Be a safeguard and a protector. Get references and do everything you have to do. Then, do a nanny background check!

You’ve decided that you can’t afford not to run a search. What do you do now? Well, when you’ve narrowed your nanny search to a few individuals, you should have all of them sign a release form so you can legally run a check on them. If they have an issue with this, then you’ve found your answer without spending the money and time to find out what is in their background. Obviously something is there that they don’t want you to see. That’s one out of the way. Now move onto those that signed the release form. Now find yourself a reliable search company and run your nanny background check.

With a social security number from your release form, you will first find where the person lives and if they have any aliases. It will then show what other addresses they’ve had as well as their education and personal references. Hopefully that information will match what they gave you on their application and on their resume. You can also request driving records which are very important since more than likely they will be transporting your children. And probably the most important is checking the sex offenders list. This, for obvious reasons, has to be one of your top priorities to find out when doing a nanny background check.

You will dig up all kinds of information when doing a search. Hopefully you will find someone that matches exactly what you are looking for. And doing a background search will give you total peace of mind that your children are in good hands.

Nanny Security Cameras – How Much Do You Know About Your Nanny

If not, and plan to hire or you’ve already hired a nanny to watch over your kids during the day this article may prove very valuable. This will allow you supervise the activities your nanny and kids do while you are away from home.
