The reality of my situation came to me when my babysitter turned to me and said: “I don’t know if you realize that your daughter’s shoes do not fit her anymore. And you need to buy special shoes for her because the ones you are getting hurt her feet”.

Ok, I’m sure I’m not the only mom on this planet that has neglected the fact that her kids feet grow at an astronomical rate, right? But, not only that, I felt guilty for not understanding her needs and realizing that, like her mother, my baby had wide feet and that shoes that would be comfortable on her would be hard to find.

Yes, I felt embarrassed and humbled. But, I also realized that my busy schedule did not allow me to pay attention to these “minor” details. And that is why, now, I make sure to pay attention to my kids and the rate that their feet grow. Not only that, I try to make sure I get shoes that will fit them perfectly and that they will be able to run, play and do whatever it is that they do; comfortably.

I also realized that good shoes that are comfortable are not available in your regular department store. Department stores are convenient, oh yeah they are. Especially for all us busy moms. But at the same time, the fact that I bought the shoes when they were on sale at the department stores did not help my poor little girl’s feet!

Now, when I’m shopping for shoes, there are a few things that I keep in mind:

* Comfort, comfort, comfort. I want the best shoes and I want them to be comfortable on my baby’s feet.

* Fashion. I not only want comfortable shoes I want shoes that are fashionable. I don’t want my baby to look like she is wearing shoes that were her grandmothers! (let’s leave those in the closet as a keepsake!)

* Materials. I want nice and good shoes made of nice and good materials. Do I sound redundant? Maybe that’s because I really want nice and good shoes, not the plastic stuff that will kill my daughter’s feet.

That being said, now instead of buying something at the department stores, I’m shopping more and more for designer kids shoes. These are the only ones that will give me what I need in a shoe. Yes, I do have to pay a bit more for them, and that’s ok. Buying the right shoes for your children will allow them to have what they need in a shoe.

There are so many brands out there: Wee Squeak, Angel Baby, Morgan and Millo, Pediped. So many to choose from! Designer kids shoes to fit all styles and genders. I know that when I go online, I can shop around among the different styles and brands and find what I need.

Don’t neglect your kids shoes any longer, buy lasting nice quality designer kids shoes online and at boutiques!

To many people, adoption is only meant for the married couples as if they are the only people that would be capable of giving the child everything he or she will need in life, but adoption is available for many different people even to single women. However the number of single women adopting is even increasing very much at this time of life more than married couples.

Single women who are deciding on adoption will more likely go through international adoption, this is because so many birth mothers would prefer their child to be adopted by married couples instead of a single parents. It is therefore better for the single mother to choose an international adoption in other to make it easier for them. There are also times when the birth mother that has decided on giving her child up for adoption will want only married couples and couple of certain ages that she may prefer.

One of the problems the single mothers face when they are planning to adopt a child is that she will not have anyone else to help her pay for all the expenses that will crop during the adoption procedures. Although some of the single women are very sure of themselves both financially and they know that they are very capable to take care of the needs and wants of their adopted child and so they are not afraid of any expenses that will crop during the adoption.

Adoption is very possible to any single woman hoping to adopt by herself and if it is something they really want for the right purpose, there is nothing whatsoever that can stand in their ways of being able to adopt that child of her dream. However many successful single women have gone through this adoption procedures, will possibly even have to ask for some types of help or assistance to enable them take care of the child.

There are grants or help available to the people that have made their mind to adopt. It does not matter whether you are a wealthy single mother or they are just getting by financially, the assistance is very much available for that purpose, to enable you provide for the adopted child.
There is no need to be afraid or embarrassed to ask for any kind of support and assistance that is available throughout the processes and afterwards. This is provided to you to help you overcome the expenses that may come during adoption processes.

Although people hoping to adopt a child are very different, their hopes and dreams still remain the same, especially when it comes to adopting the child of their dream. It does not matter whether they are married or a single woman, you may not say for sure if the relationship will last, but know that a child who was once in need, or motherless or lacks parental love and care, now has a place to call a home. It is always a thing of joy both to the people that adopted, and to the child adopted.

Being a Stay at Home Parent
