Any mother that has a nanny probably has a wireless nanny cam. This is a good thing. Making sure our nannies are carefully watching over our children is a great way to raise a future generation of healthy babies that will become wonderful adults.

Most nannies are happy with nanny cams and encourage their use as a way to form a great relationship with the family. As a nanny, if the family can see that I’m treating their child with respect, I know that I will be treated with respect as well. The only thing nannies are requesting is to know that they are being watched. While it should not matter if you are being watched or not, as far as child care goes, it’s still an issue of trust, knowing that you’re being watched.

Although, so many places are being adorned with cameras, shouldn’t we always assume we’re being watched? With cameras at red lights, busy intersections, busy stores, we’re always being monitored. Maybe some people need to know they’re being watched to behave correctly, but whatever the situation is, it’s nice to know that as parents we can watch our children and know that they’re safe.

The wireless options help as well, because with so many gadgets, I don’t want to worry about having to hide another wire! And, yet, they’re still affordable. Maybe five years ago a wireless option would have broken the bank, but this just isn’t true anymore.

Not only do the nanny cams keep a watchful eye over nannies, but also they give parents the chance to keep up with the things their babies are doing. You won’t miss another moment of your baby’s life, when you’re watching recordings from your camera. This is not to say that watching a recording is as good as the real thing, but with realities like having to be at work to afford a better life for your family, you can still enjoy seeing your beautiful children while you’re not there.

And these cameras aren’t just for babies anymore. If you have children that are old enough to go to childcare, some of these establishments are outfitted with cameras that will let you view what’s going on after you’ve left. Not to mention older children that can be babysat. You can ensure that your teenage babysitter is not neglecting your children by sitting them on the floor and watching movies all night. There are just so many advantages to having these nanny cams that the investment is well worth the money. And, obviously, your baby will not outgrow the need to be watched. Even children that can be left alone for a couple of hours can be watched so that if something happens, there will be no fight about who started it or what they got into while you weren’t at home. Just consider the nanny cam as your new best friend as a parent; you might learn some things that make you more content about your nanny and your children.
