Need advice please help?

Sorry this might be a bit long. I am a nanny but recently went on two interviews and I have not had any luck. Am I doing something wrong? I am a 22yo female with 9 years of nanny experience working with 2 families and my own niece, nephew and siblings. I have most of my experience with infants and toddlers.

My Qualifications

* 9 Years experience with infant and toddler twins, multiples and singleton
* CPR/First Aid Certified(current 2012)
* Background Check
* Vaccanations- Flu, Pertussis, etc. ( Current)
* Great references and recommendations
* Resume, Cover Letter, Thank You Note( for after interview)
* Very clean and hygenic
* Fun and educational activites and I keep a journal of daily activites, routine, etc. for parents and open communication.
* Non-Smoker or Drug User
* Pet Friendly
* Cellphone

I am also willing to go above and beyond. Besides great childcare, I also do light housekeeping pertaining to child such as dishes, meals, laundry, grocery shopping, and errands. I do not have a drivers license or vehicle(but I am getting one) seeing as I live in Chicago and get free transportation through school. I also do not apply to jobs with a car needed. I have never had an issue at my last jobs and have always eneded on a good note. They have given excellent recommendations.
I always come prepared to interviews and show up looking professional. I am very polite, respectful, and always ask questions. My most recent interviews have lasted for about an hour and we talked about everything from what is expected, to what they want in a nanny, etc. I always leave feeling great and follow up with a thank you note. Afte my last two interviews, I have waited a week and called to see and they tell me they have chosen another nanny. I ask for feedback on what I can improve and they always tell me that they had a great time meeting but they have made a better connection with the nanny chosen. So what am I doing wrong? How do I amke a better connection? Plz Help!

I want to accomplish three things this spring. I want to have time out by myself at least once a week, I want my husband and I to start exercising, and I want to have a date at least twice a month alone with my husband. Should I sign up for the ballroom dancing class that my husband and I would take together. It is an hour on Thursdays, and we would have to find a babysitter. I’ve been wanting my husband to learn to dance. Or should I sign up for the fashion makeover class which I would take by myself every Wednesday for 2 1/2 hours. My husband has already agreed to babysit. We could try to make sure we get out on dates every other week for our alone time. And we could start walking together for exercise instead. And no matter what I choose I plan on starting to swim like 3 times a week at night. The difference is I know I’ll do the classes I’ve signed up for and am paying for, the others have no commitment. I’m having a hard time deciding. So which should I do?

I mean a normal job, not something celebrity-centered
(so, not a personal assistant to Jodie Foster, or Britney Spears’ babysitter, etc).

What job makes u think, What wud it be like to work here?
__________
I wonder what it’s like to work as a language translator, like for the UN or something.

babysitting dilemma please answer?

i interviewed few people for the babysitting position. I narrowed it down to two. Initially i was going with babysitter A and she pretty much thinks that she is starting next sunday but well i have a change of heart and after consulting with my friends and spent much time thinking, i decided to go with babysitter B (i feel more secure with her). Well how do i tell babysitter A that i am choosing someone else. Both were supposed to be live in babysitters for 5 days but i really like babysitter B, she seems more humble and i feel that i will get along with her better. So tell me how do i break down the news to her tomorrow.

A friend of mine has agreed to nanny for us. We have a 7 year old son who she will have to walk out to the bus every morning, which stops at our driveway. She will then stay with our 9 month old daughter until 1pm. So, she would work from 7:30 until 1pm. She is a friend. But we chose to find a nanny because it will cost less than daycare. We also will not ask her to do any cleaning, shopping, etc. And she can eat the food in the house. :-)

She will work Mon thru Thurs.

What is a fair wage?

Which would you rather read about?

I’m writing a short story for English and I have a couple different ideas. I can’t decide which I would rather write about.

1. A girl who’s old babysitter dies, and then the afternoon after she dies, she calls the little girl(It makes more sense in my head .)

2. If Y2K actually happened.

3. 2012(This is probably my least favorite because about 20 other people are writing about this)

4. A world where people can choose/be chosen to have their emotions taken away.
