state help for a babysitter?

my fiance works and i am on food stamps and we are still struggling to get by. if i got a job would the state pay for a babysitter for my 2 year old son? i live in erie county, ny. i would have gotten a job awhile ago but i figured by the time i pay for a babysitter there wouldnt be a point in working. and would i be able to choose who i wanted to watch my son?
i am in a financial struggle and realized a long time ago i wasnt financially ready for a kid but there was no turning back after i found out i was pregnant. please no rude comments about me being poor or how everyone else is paying tax dollars for my son to eat. i realize this and want to get a job. i have a ton of bills and i am trying my hardest to raise my son and i have my family to help out but i dont want their help i want to be an adult get a job and raise my son.
